Already 12 weeks into this project! Time is flying by. I almost didn't make it this week. I drew the whole thing on the last day. My life has become synonymous with the word "busy" since at least September. There is no slowing down in sight, so I guess I should just get used to it.
The last two weeks were filled with printing shirts and prepping for the xmas designs (which will drop on small business Saturday *while* we are camping <panic face>) and I just didn't have the time to sit down and draw. I did one sketch, though! So, another week of one drawing and one sketch.

This week's prompt is Black and White of Face Including Hands
Hands are typically a pain in the rear for many artists. I don't have a ton of experience with hands so I didn't know what to expect. Aside from a bit of a sizing issue, I think they turned out fine. They aren't very detailed in the prompt picture.
I have come to realize that I like my drawings best when they are partially-drawn. Your brain fills in the rest of the picture perfectly and just assumes it will look great when finished. Thanks, brain.
This first picture is my favorite.
She was looking like a sexy nun for a while there.
Overall, I'm pleased with the final product. I think the hands look a bit small, but I really like the eyes. The hair could be better, but I didn't really take my time with this one. I didn't trace this one to place the features and I'm proud of that, so the fact that the proportions are a tad off doesn't bother me. Practice makes perfect, right? 12 weeks of practice and I think I've already improved a lot over the first week. (The blog picture settings aren't working and it's driving me up the wall, so I can only put in one picture at a time instead of side-by-sides)

So busy that I forgot to add the doodle this week! We have been blessed with Gillian content for The Crown premier and Sex Education season 2 press. This is a quick sketch of the now famous Pink Suit photoshoot.
Next week is Black and White of Face and Upper Half of Body.
